Couplemate Trailer Parts announces Durasafe Inc no longer distributes or sells the 'Original' Couplemate Trailer Hitch Guide sold since 1994. We thank Durasafe Inc for their past efforts.
Steve Wotherspoon, owner and President of Couplemate Trailer Parts said 'Mutual Agreement was reached in 2009 for the distribution agreement with Durasafe to end due to low sales brought on by the Global Recession.
This non confidential mutual agreement made provision for Durasafe to provide prompt notification to Couplemate Trailer Parts should they run out of stock prior to 31st January. 'We found it essential to keep the supply chain open by making supply provisions in our termination agreement." Steve Wotherspoon said.
The Couplemate Hitch Guide also known as 'The Marriage Saver' will still be manufactured by Couplemate as it was in the past when it was shipped to the Durasafe's Wisconsin warehouse.
An integral part of the Termination agreement is a clause "If Durasafe Inc sells it inventory of Couple-mate Trailer Guides prior to 31st January 2010, it promptly notify such............". Unfortunately no notices of shortage were received from Durasafe, however we later had become aware of shortages.
Many customers will be relieved to know we currently have good stock in our California Warehouse but beware of product substitution. We are only too happy to verify you are getting the 'Original Marriage Saver,' call us.

'With sales in recession for some time, we have taken the opportunity to invest into the American RV and Marine sectors with a range of new & exciting products that will capture the imagination of vacationers.' Mr. Wotherspoon said.
Mr. Wotherspoon said, 'In the past, we have provided passive support to RV and Marine sectors via R & D programs. Products resulting from these R & D programs will be rolled out during 2010. We must now become proactive with major buyers and OEMs and offer great deals so that recreational users can benefit and extract more enjoyment from their vacation.
Couplemate Trailer Parts will be attending all trade / retail RV, marine and trailer shows in 2010. We would be delighted to talk with OEMs, Major Buyers and the general public who have questions about our Extreme Trailer parts range.
